Most people want to serve their country so they choose to become a police officer, this way they can have the legal right to serve and to protect, there are some necessary steps involve in the process of becoming a police officer, all steps are necessary. The first is to ensure that you have the necessary qualifications, this is includes but not limited to academics, in some countries in order to be a police officer the individual as to be a certain height and weight a certain amount of pound, this usually differs for men and women, this is to ensure that they can defend their selves on the job as the job is a very dangerous one, the individual as to be an adult for some countries it is to be at the age of 18 while other countries the age to be is 21 and over, there is also a cut off age, this means that once the person reach that age they can no longer choose to join the police force.
Before being accepted into the police force people will need to ensure that they have a clean record before they apply, this is because an individual needs to have a clean criminal record before they are recruited as police officers. After satisfying these conditions the next thing is for the person to submit an application to the necessary authorities, in most instances they are called in no later than six months after the application has been submitted, at this point the individual will be asked to do both a medical test and a academic test, both of which they need to pass in order to move to the next level; if the person has a degree when applying to the force then that individual will be exempted from doing the test, the medical record has to prove that the individual is fit enough to become a police officer, otherwise the should apply for office job where they do not go on the field but only work in the office. After the examinations have been done and all the criteria have been satisfied the individual will begin his process of becoming a police officer, at this stage they will have to attend training school for a period of six month, during that six month they will learn most of what they will be doing on the job, they will be pain a small amount of money while as training school.
